Women's Tennis Announces Spring 2023 Schedule

HATTIESBURG, Miss-- Head coach Piyanart Engineer of the Southern Miss women's tennis team, announces the spring 2023 schedule, as the Golden Eagles are slated to play nine home matches.
"I am very excited to start our Spring 2023 season. The team has worked hard in the Fall and is ready to compete and give their best," said head coach Piyanart Engineer.
Home Slate
The Golden Eagles will start off their spring season facing Jackson State University on Jan. 21. They will host Jackson State against Northwestern State University on Feb. 3, followed by their match-up against the Demons the following day. The Black & Gold, after a brief road swing, will begin conference play with their battle over Georgia State University on March 11, followed by Troy University on March 12. Georgia Southern will then make the trip to Hattiesburg for an April 1 match-up, along with Coastal Carolina for an April 2 contest. The final match of the regular season will take place on April 22 against Arkansas State University.
Road Slate
The Golden Eagles will begin their road campaign on Feb. 25 in Thibodaux, La., against Nicholls State University. They will hit the road again on March 18 to face Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. Followed by two match-ups in the Old Dominion State. The team will rival James Madison University on March 25 in Harrisonburg and Old Dominion in Norfolk on March 26. Later, on April 8–9, they will challenge Marshall University in Huntington, W.Va., and then Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina. On April 15, South Alabama will host the Black & Gold in Mobile, Ala., to close out their road matches.
The Sun Belt Conference Championships will be held in Peachtree City, Ga., on April 26 through the 30.
