Davis Garners Second Sun Belt Player of the Week Honor

NEW ORLEANS -- For the second time this season, Domonique Davis has been selected as Sun Belt Conference Player of the Week. Her stellar performances at the Long Beach Classic which included a 20-point, 40-minute performance against Long Beach State (12/17).
The DeRidder, La. native previously earned Player of the Week honors two weeks ago after taking over at the Lady Eagle Thanksgiving Classic. This weekend's performance featured two wins and 33 total points.
In the Tournament opener against UC Irvine, Davis dropped 13 points, which complimented her 5 assists and two steals. Her efficient distribution of the ball helped the Lady Eagles outlast UCI and emerge with a 50-45 win.
In her final performance on the West Coast, Davis rose to the occasion, scoring 20 points with two assists, four rebounds and two steals to propel the Lady Eagles to a come-from-behind victory over Long Beach State.
Her weekend performance earned her a spot on the Long Beach All-Classic Team as well as MVP Honors for the weekend.
