Football Earns More Postseason Honors This Week

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – As the Southern Miss football team continues its preparations for its Saturday afternoon LendingTree Bowl appearance, the school enjoyed several players earn postseason recognition this week.
The Golden Eagles will meet Rice at Whitney Hancock Stadium in Mobile, Ala., at 4:45 p.m., and can be seen on ESPN as well as heard on an affiliate of the Southern Miss Sports Network by Learfield.
Tickets for the game can be purchased by going online at SouthernMissTickets.com, by calling 1-800-844-TICK (8425) or visiting the Pat Ferlise Ticket Office by 5 p.m., Friday.
The Golden Eagles had a total of 11 players recognized, including Jay Stanley who was picked as a second-team All-America pick by the Action Network. The other two listings were by Phil Steele's Magazine and PFF.
