Southern Miss Soccer Earns CSC Academic All-District

HATTIESBURG, Miss.-- The Southern Miss women's soccer team had five Golden Eagles earn 2022 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District for their combined performances on the field and the classroom announced Nov. 15.
"These five exemplify the true meaning of being a student-athlete. They bring 100% of their effort and work ethic to the classroom as well as the field. They are the standard," said assistant coach Haley Knowles.
The overall team GPA comes out to 3.434. Madisyn Flammia, currently in her MBA program, earned a 4.0 cumulative for her undergraduate studies, making the President's List and AD Honor Roll in the Spring of 2022. Alex Helbling also earned a cumulative GPA of 4.0 with her major in Chemistry and Biochemistry with a Biological Sciences minor, making the President's List and AD Honor Roll. Patricia Gasparovicova is seeking her undergraduate degree in Sports Management with a minor in Spanish, making the President's list and AD Honor Roll with her 3.889 cumulative GPA. Ilana Izquierdo held a 3.714 cumulative GPA while seeking her undergraduate degree in Nutrition and Dietetics with a Strength and Conditioning minor. She earned a spot on the Dean's List and AD Honor Roll. Tay Collum recorded a 3.603 cumulative GPA with her undergraduate studies in Biological Sciences with a minor in Chemistry, earning AD Honor Roll.
These five also have a chance to earn CSC Academic All-America; winners will be announced on Dec. 6.
