Southern Miss Volleyball Announces Schedule Change vs. SLU

HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- Due to the effects caused by Hurricane Ida on the Southeastern Louisiana University campus, the Southern Miss volleyball team is now set to host Southeastern on Tuesday, Sept. 21.

The Golden Eagles last faced off with SLU last season in a pair of matches on Jan. 29. Southern Miss dropped the first match to the Lions in four sets before winning a five set thriller at home.

Southern Miss holds a 35-23 lead in the all-time series between the two programs. The Golden Eagles have also won eight of the last 10 matches against the Lions. Southeastern travels to Hattiesburg for the fourth consecutive season to take on Southern Miss.

This matchup with Southeastern will serve as the Golden Eagles' final contest before Conference USA action.

The Golden Eagles take on the Southeastern Lions on Tuesday, Sept. 21 at 6 p.m. Admission to the match against SLU at the Volleyball Wellness Center is free, and fans can also tune into the game on CUSA.tv.
