Southern Miss XC Unveils 2021 Schedule

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Southern Miss cross country coach Aaron Kindt announced the 2021 schedule for his distance group on Friday afternoon.
"We're looking forward to the upcoming season," Kindt said. "We have an experienced team that can take on our challenging schedule and have us ready to compete for championships at the end of the year."
The team opens the year on Sept. 17 at the North Alabama Showcase in Huntsville, Ala. before heading north to open the month of October at the Joe Piane Notre Dame Invitational. The group then travels to Tallahassee, Fla. for the Pre-National meet hosted by Florida State on Oct. 15 to conclude the regular season.
The University of Charlotte will host the Conference USA Championships on Oct. 30, where the Golden Eagles will look to finish in the top-three for the third consecutive season.
Three-time All-Conference USA selection Kate Mattox and Conference USA Freshman of the Year Cassidy Teuscher will look to anchor the squad, while 2019 Second-Team All-Conference member Lina May returns from an injury that held her out a season ago and will be a key piece for the Golden Eagles.
