Southern Miss Volleyball Announces 2021 Schedule

HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- Southern Miss Head Volleyball Coach Stephanie Radecki has unveiled the program's 2021 schedule today, July 19.
Following an exhibition against Mississippi State on Friday, Aug. 20, the Golden Eagles will host a Southern Miss Volleyball Classic on Friday, Aug. 27 and Saturday, Aug. 28 at the Wellness Center. USM will face off with Mississippi Valley State, Southern Illinois, USC Upstate and Louisiana to kick off the season.
The Black and Gold will then travel to Tuscaloosa to participate in the Crimson Tide Volleyball Invitational on Sept. 3 and 4. Southern Miss will take on Buffalo, Troy and host Alabama over the weekend.
USM hits the road the following weekend to take part in the Gamecock Volleyball Invitational in Jacksonville, Ala. Southern Miss will battle South Alabama on Friday, Sept. 10 before taking on Nicholls State and host program Jacksonville State on Saturday, Sept. 11.
The Golden Eagles return home to the Wellness Center to host another edition of the Southern Miss Volleyball Classic on Friday, Sept. 17 and Saturday, Sept. 18. USM faces off with Eastern Kentucky and Lamar University on Friday and rounds off the weekend against Chattanooga on Saturday to conclude tournament play.
Southern Miss heads to Hammond, La. for a match against Southeastern Louisiana on Tuesday, Sept. 21 as a final tune-up before its Conference-USA slate.
USM kicks off C-USA play on the road against UAB in a pair of matchups on Friday, Sept. 24 and Saturday, Sept. 25. The Golden Eagles then return home to Hattiesburg on Oct. 1 and 2 for two matches against UTSA.
Heading to Denton, Texas, Southern Miss will face off with North Texas on Oct. 8 and 9 before hosting UTSA on Friday, Oct. 15 and Saturday Oct. 16.
Southern Miss then heads to Houston, Texas for a pair of matches against the reigning C-USA East Division Champions, Rice.
USM rounds out league play with two matches against rival Louisiana Tech on Oct. 29 and 30 at the Wellness Center.
The regular season concludes Nov. 2 as the Golden Eagles travel to Montgomery, Ala. for a match against Alabama State, followed by USM's regular-season finale against Clemson on the road on Nov. 10. Old Dominion will play host to the Conference-USA Championships Nov. 19-21.
