
Southern Miss Softball Incoming Freshman Paige Kilgore Named 2021 Mississippi Gatorade POTY

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Incoming Southern Miss softball freshman Paige Kilgore (Houston, Miss.) named the 2021 Mississippi Gatorade Player of the Year. This marks the second time in her high school career that she has won the award (2020).
"It's exciting and I'm very blessed to have received this award for the second time. My parents and family have always supported me along my journey. I have continued to work hard for the team and strive to better my personal game" said Kilgore. "I am eager to start my career at Southern Miss as there is so much to love about the school. This past week I was able to meet the girls at camp and we all got along very well. You can tell this team has a true family spirit."
The Mississippi native is set to arrive in Hattiesburg with numerous team and personal awards. She is now a two-time Mississippi Gatorade Player of the Year (2020 & 2021), Max Preps "Best Player in Mississippi" (2020), four-time Division Pitcher of the Year, and Class 3A State Champion (2018), along with many other accolades.
