Soccer Adds Cobyte

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Southern Miss soccer Head Coach Mohammed El-Zare announced the arrival of Technayda Cobyte (North Miami, Fla.-North Miami) to the 2021 Fall roster Tuessday, June 15.
For Coach Mohammed El-Zare, this is a special signing as Cobyte comes from North Miami High School where he started his coaching career as a volunteer coach.
"Technayda is a strong a resilient young lady who has already proven she is a winner in life. We know that her experience will have a major benefit as she continues to grow and achieve bigger goals, wether that is personally, athletically, or academically" began El-Zare. " We are so excited and looking forward to her career at Southern Miss. On the field, she is one of the cleanest technical players we have and has shown top level competitive maturity.. She has blossomed into a fantastic young lady and we are absolutely thrilled to see her join the family."
Cobyte joins the Golden Eagles after a stellar career at North Miami High School where she was awarded the Most Valuable Player of the Season three times (2018-19, 2019-20, and 2021) and was selected as a captain. In her last campaign at North Miami, she scored 20 goals, provided two assists, and tallied a 42 point total.
The Floridian also played flag football in high school before fully competing in soccer.
