Arvin Fletcher Named Nominee for C Spire Conerly Trophy

HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- Southern Miss senior offensive lineman Arvin Fletcher is one of eight nominees for the C Spire Conerly Trophy, presented annually to the top football player in the state.

The awards program, held in conjunction with the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame, will air virtually on Monday, May 24 at 12 p.m. via msfame.com. It was pushed back to also accommodate state schools that had their football seasons pushed to the spring with COVID-19.

Fletcher, who will enter his sixth season this fall, has done everything for the Golden Eagles. He has played in every game with starts in all but one of them over the past four seasons (redshirted in 2016). The Madison native has started at four of the five line positions, including center, and earned C-USA All-Freshman honors in 2017.
