Madisyn Flammia and Nolubablo Sishuba Tabbed to the C-USA All-Tournament Team

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Southern Miss sophomore defenders Madisyn Flammia and Nolubablo Sishuba were tabbed to the 2020 C-USA All-Tournament Team, the league announced on Saturday April 17. 2020 marks the first time either of the sophomore standouts have received C-USA All-Tournament honors in their Southern Miss careers.

"Flammia has a great sense of awareness and ability to read the game. She brings confidence and calmness to our backline and serves as a valuable asset to our program going into the future."
The Panama City, Florida native was named to the 2020 C-USA All-Tournament Team after an outstanding performance at the C-USA Championship. Over the course of her collegiate career, Flammia has been an integral part of the Golden Eagles' backline.
Throughout the C-USA Championship Flammia made her presence known, and in the Quarterfinals held FAU to only one score. She, in the C-USA Semifinals, shutout No. 25 Rice through 90 minutes and two overtime periods.
Flammia took three shots throughout the tournament putting her versatility on display.
This season, Flammia took the start for the Golden Eagles 10 times and recorded 902 minutes on the field. She took 13 shots with 7 of them on goal.

"Sishuba continues to grow each and every time she steps on the field. I am proud of her contributions to the team this year. She is a valuable asset and her best days are yet to come!"
The Cape Town, South Africa native enters her first year with the Golden Eagles logging 573 minutes on the field this season. This season she has recorded one goal, two points and eight shots on the season.
Sishuba whose game continues to progress had a standout performance versus FAU in the C-USA Quarterfinals taking five shots and scoring a game changing goal in the first half.
Her performance in the C-USA Quarterfinals solidified a Golden Eagle victory and advanced Southern Miss to the tournament's semifinal.
