Corvell Todd Named C-USA Male Field Athlete of the Week for Second Time

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Corvell Todd was once again named the Male Field Athlete of the Week by Conference USA after his performance at the Jaguar Invitational this past weekend at the Birmingham Crossplex.
"Corvell is an excellent kid to work with," assistant coach Jamaal Barnes said. "To be recognized by the conference for the second time is a great accomplishment and I'm excited to see what he does this weekend at the conference championship."
The Byhalia, Miss. product improved his conference-leading mark, clearing 2.19m (7'2.25") and now ranks tied for sixth in the country. He also ranks in the top 50 in the world in the event.
"Corvell continues to move up the NCAA charts each week with better jumps," head coach Jon Stuart added. "He was outstanding this weekend, with a personal best of 2.19m. We expect him to go even higher at the conference championship and hopefully that will us into the NCAA Championship in a good position to score points."
Todd has now taken home first place in three of four meets this season and will look to capture the Conference USA title this weekend.
