Lady Eagles Return to Action at North Texas

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – After having the previous two games canceled, Southern Miss returns to face off against the Mean Green of North Texas on Friday and Saturday at The Super Pit in Denton, Texas. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Friday and 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Jason Baker will be on the call for the Southern Miss Radio Network, broadcast on 92.7 "The Score" and presented by Learfield IMG College, while both games will be available for streaming on C-USA TV.
Scouting the Mean Green
• Head Coach Jalie Mitchell is in her sixth season at the helm of the Mean Green.
• North Texas returns nine players from a team that went 12-19 a season ago.
• The Mean Green were picked to finish eighth in the conference by the league's coaches.
• Quincy Noble paces the UNT offensive effort, averaging 18.8 PPG and is shooting it at a 42.6% clip from behind the arc.
• The Mean Green are coming off a series split with LA Tech after having the two previous C-USA series postponed due to COVID-19.
Scouting the Lady Eagles
• Coach McNelis currently sits at 498 career victories and would need a sweep of the Mean Green to reach the 500 win milestone.
