
Southern Miss Set to Celebrate Salute to Armed Forces This Saturday versus North Texas

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Saturday's Southern Miss football game versus North Texas serves as its Salute to Armed Forces contest. Game time is set for 2 p.m., at Carlisle-Faulkner Field at M.M. Roberts Stadium.
There are many great initiatives accompanying this game including the Seats for Soldiers program where fans can purchase a $10 ticket by clicking here. Those $10 tickets will then be distributed to active or retired members of the military who plan to attend this Saturday's game. All active duty, veterans and retired military members can receive two complimentary tickets to the game.
The Eagle Walk, which occurs two hours prior to kickoff, and includes the entire football team, will be led by Maxx Pro and end with Panther, a pair of wheeled mine resistant ambush protected (MRAP) armored military vehicles.
Just prior to the game, a flyover will be conducted by the "Flyin' Jennies" - 815th Airlift Squadron - from Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi.
In addition, a pregame "bootline" will be formed for the football team to run through by the Camp Shelby's Installation Support Unit, while the Joint Color Guard will be provided by the Air Force ROTC Detachment 432 and Army ROTC Eagle Battalion.
At halftime, The Pride of Mississippi will perform a military tribute honoring the Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines and Coast Guard. All Active-Duty military and Veterans are invited to participate.
