Southern Miss Softball Games Cancelled on Final Day of Troy Tournament

TROY, Ala. – The Southern Miss softball team (4-3) had its two final games of the Troy Tournament cancelled due to inclement weather.

Southern Miss was set to face Eastern Illinois (4-3) at 11:30 a.m. and Troy at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday (Feb. 16) at the Troy Softball Complex on the campus of Troy University.

Southern Miss finished the tournament with an 0-2 record after dropping games to Southeast Missouri State, 7-0 and Purdue Fort Wayne, 7-5.

Southern Miss will be back in action on Wednesday, February 19 when they host Alcorn State (4-7) in a doubleheader at the Southern Miss Softball Complex in Hattiesburg. Game one of Wednesday's doubleheader is scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m. and game two is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m.

Wednesday night's doubleheader will feature Bingo Night and Youth Team Night.

Bingo Night – Fans of all ages can grab a bingo card upon entering the stadium if they wish to participate, and multiple winners will take home a prize.
*Bingo Night will take place during every home midweek game*

Youth Team Night – Youth softball teams with players in 8^th grade and below can submit a roster and receive FREE general admission tickets for players and coaches.
