HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Southern Miss women's soccer team took part in the Night to Shine Event hosted by Temple Baptist Church on February 8. The event was established by the Tim Tebow Foundation and is held on an annual basis at different churches around the United States and 16 countries.
The foundation's vision is to provide an unforgettable prom night experience, centered on God's love, for people with special needs, ages 14 and older.
Night to Shine is:
Every Night to Shine guest is given the royal treatment, beginning with a red carpet entrance where they are welcomed by a friendly crowd and paparazzi. After making their entrance, guests are treated to complimentary hair and makeup stations, shoe shining stations, limousine rides, corsages and boutonnieres, a karaoke room, a catered dinner, prom favors for each honored guest, a Respite Room for parents and caretakers and plenty of dancing!
Each guest that attends Night to Shine also receives a crown or a tiara because they are all kings and queens.
Night to Shine is not just a night for guests to shine but for churches, volunteers, and most importantly, for Christ to shine.
Each member of the Southern Miss women's soccer team was partnered with a buddy (guest) at the Night to Shine event at Temple Baptist Church and together, they spent the evening dancing and singing.
