Southern Miss Track & Field Releases 2020 Schedule

The Golden Eagles will compete in four regular-season meets in the indoor season and eight for the outdoor season.
HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Southern Miss track and field have released the 2020 indoor and outdoor schedule. The Golden Eagles will compete in four regular-season meets in the indoor season and eight for the outdoor season.

"We get to see some of the best competition in the nation and as a result, it will prepare us for our Conference Championships and National Championships in the future. We're very excited to get started."
INDOOR
The Golden Eagles will travel to four different regular-season meets for the indoor track season. They will kick it off by first competing in UAB's Vulcan Invitational at the Crossplex in Birmingham, Ala. on Friday, Jan. 10. They will head back to the Crossplex on Jan. 17 and 18 for the Samford Invitational. Next up is a trip to Houston, Texas for the Houston G-5 & Mid-Major Invitational on Jan. 31 and Feb. 1. After a short break, they'll be back in action on Feb. 14 and 15 at the Music City Invitational hosted by Vanderbilt. That meet will conclude the regular season, with the C-USA Indoor Championships being held on Feb. 22 and 23 at the Crossplex in Birmingham.
OUTDOOR
Southern Miss will once again host their USM High School Invitational on Friday, Mar. 6 at the Bell Track and Field and Soccer Complex. The outdoor season will really kick off with the South Alabama Invitational on Friday, Mar. 20 at the Jaguar Track in Mobile, Ala. On Friday, Mar. 27, the Golden Eagles will be in Tallahassee, Fla. at the Florida State Relays. Southern Miss will host the annual Southern Miss Invitational on Apr. 3 and 4, with the 4th being senior day. The Golden Eagles will then travel to Tuscaloosa no Apr. 10 and 11 for the Crimson Tide Invite. The Bryan Clay Invitational at Azusa Pacific in Azusa, Calif. is where they'll head next from Apr. 15-17. While some of the squad is there, some will be in Auburn, Ala. at the War Eagle Invitational on Apr. 17 and 18. On Apr. 25 they head to bayou country for the LSU Alumni Gold meet. Last on the schedule will be the Maroon and White Invite at Mississippi State on May 1 and 2. The C-USA Championships will be held by UTSA in San Antonio, Texas from May 14-17.
The Golden Eagles have added many new faces to the squad, and look forward to the season ahead.
