HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Southern Miss women's volleyball team announced Thursday afternoon that $5,395.58 was raised for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in the Golden Eagles' inaugural 'Serve Up a Cure' match against FIU on Nov. 14.
"I am so grateful for everyone in the community of Hattiesburg, Southern Miss, and our friends and families of Southern Miss Volleyball for embracing and supporting this event," said head coach Stephanie Radecki. "We consider it a privilege to train and compete daily, and having the opportunity to host an event like this makes us proud."

The Golden Eagles would like to thank the Hattiesburg community for its contributions to the silent auction and 'Serve Up a Cure' event. Along with the money raised from the silent auction, the proceeds from an orange game-worn jersey auction and t-shirt sales will go to LLS.
LLS holds a special place in the hearts of the current coaching staff. Stephanie Radecki, Jennifer McCall, and Peyton Lang lost a former player and teammate to Leukemia while at North Alabama. In her time with the Lions, Radecki coached a handful of 'Serve Up a Cure' matches that gave back to the Birmingham, Ala. chapter of LLS.
"I'm proud of our staff, team, and all of those that contributed in any way," Radecki said. "Thank you and SMTTT!"
