Southern Miss Women’s Soccer to Host 2019 ID Camp
1/25/2019 9:25:00 AM | Women's Soccer
The camp will take place on Sunday, March 17 at the Southern Miss Soccer Complex
HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Southern Miss Women's soccer has announced the date for their 2019 ID Camp. The camp will take place on Sunday, March 17 from 9:00 a.m. (CT) until 4:00 p.m. (CT) at the Southern Miss Soccer Complex.
Coach Mohammed El-Zare and his coaching staff invite girls in grades 8th - 12th and JUCO players to attend the camp.
The purpose of the camp is to prepare female prospect-age players for the Division I soccer experience while also providing exposure to the University of Southern Mississippi's coaching staff and environment.
Campers will experience on-field instruction, small-sided games, and 11v11 matches as an opportunity to showcase their skills in front of collegiate coaches. Campers will also get an all encompassed look into the life of a Southern Miss soccer student-athlete by having the opportunity to participate in a recruiting panel with players and coaches. In addition, a tour of the Southern Miss athletic facilities will be provided. The cost to attend the camp is $100 and includes, training from college coaches and a t-shirt.
A 15% discount will be applied for children of Southern Miss employees and a 10% discount will be applied to groups and teams with four or more participants.
Limited spots are available for the camp as we aim to maximize the opportunity of exposure and the volume of coaching feedback by creating an appropriate coach to camper ratio. Prospective campers are strongly encouraged to register early, as the 2018 Southern Miss ID Camp sold out in just three weeks. Registration is based on a first come first serve basis. Refunds will be issued for camp cancellations.
All campers are responsible for bringing their own appropriate size soccer ball, shin guards, soccer cleats, water bottle, sun protection, food for the snack break, warm clothing and rain jacket. Lunch will not be provided.
