HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- Southern Miss head volleyball coach Stephanie Radecki has completed her first Golden Eagle staff with the addition of Hannah Masoner as the team's graduate assistant, a duty she will also hold with the beach volleyball team as it begins play in Spring 2019.
"I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to be involved with USM athletics and to work with Coach Radecki," Masoner said. "I have a true passion for volleyball, especially sand volleyball, and have been blessed by the opportunity to experience it at a collegiate level. I'm very excited to expand both my knowledge and love for the sport as part of USM's program. I look forward to the ability to contribute to its growth as well as the possibility for future success."
Masoner is a 2017 graduate (psychology with a concentration in biology) of Spring Hill College in Alabama, earning a 3.76 GPA in the process as a dean's list member in every semester. She also competed on both the volleyball (2013-16) and beach volleyball (2015-17) teams, the latter of which being a first-year program when she began.
"Hannah is an important addition to our staff," Radecki said. "Her beach volleyball experience will be a huge asset to our program as we embark on our first season."
Masoner, a native of Camden, Tenn., expects to earn her master's in experimental psychology (brain and behavior) in 2019 with a doctorate in 2021.
