
Tseng, Tsai Earn All-Conference Honors

IRVING, Texas - Conference-USA announced the 2018 Men's Tennis All-Conference Teams Tuesday morning where Wen-Po Tseng and Chung Han Tsai earned recognition in singles and doubles play.
Tseng finished his senior campaign with a 15-0 record in singles play and was named to the All-Conference second team for his achievement. Tseng's undefeated season gives him the all-time longest win streak in Southern Miss history, a record that's been set for 37 years.
Tseng finished the season 3-0 against C-USA opponents after sweeping singles play at the Conference USA Showcase. His sweep earned him his second-ever C-USA Player of the Week honor, an honor he also won his sophomore campaign.
Tseng's senior season was the most singles wins he had in his time at Southern Miss. Tseng finished with 44 singles wins.
Tsai, the freshman, won his first conference award being named to the All-Conference Second Doubles team with Tseng. Tsai and Tseng went 15-2 in doubles play, the most doubles wins for the Golden Eagles in 2018. The pair finished the season with a three-match win streak and an 8-2 record in the last 10 matches.
The pair won all 15 matches at No. 2 to earn the conference honors.
Southern Miss finished the 2018 season with a 19-4 record and finished 3-0 against C-USA opponents during regular season action. The Golden Eagles lose three seniors, including Tseng, Daniel Merker and Mikhail Esipov.
