Track and Field Opens Outdoor Season at Jaguar Classic

HATTIESBURG, Miss. â€" The Southern Miss men's and women's track and field teams are set to open the outdoor season this weekend in Mobile, Ala. when they attend the Jaguar Classic hosted by South Alabama.
Joining Southern Miss at the Jaguar Classic are twelve teams; Albany State, UAB, Birmingham Southern, Dillard, Mobile, South Alabama, Spring Hill, Troy, Tuskegee, West Alabama and William Carey.
The Golden Eagles are returning 2017 NCAA Outdoor Honorable Mention All-American Cra'vorkian Carson along with three Conference USA Outdoor Champions and 11 C-USA Outdoor Championship medalists.
Along with the returners, the outdoor season welcomes the transfers that competed during the indoor season. McKinely West and John Warren who both claimed gold medals in their respective events along with Rian Robinson and Chenelle Ricketts are looking to make an impact during the outdoor season.
Following this meet in Mobile, the Golden Eagles will make their way to Jacksonville, Florida to compete in the FSU Relays on March 23.
