Bell Named Google Cloud Academic All-American

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Southern Miss senior Sarah Bell was named a 2018 Google Cloud Academic All-American by CoSIDA. Bell, selected to the Third Team, was one of 22 Division I volleyball players honored.Â
The San Antonio, Texas native currently holds a 3.97 GPA as a Biological Sciences major. On the court, Bell is the all-time career assists leader in program history with 5,251. She averaged 10.62 assists per set her senior campaign, which put her at No. 2 in Conference USA. Bell's academic achievements include a mission trip to Haiti, volunteer work at Forrest General Hospital and was on the Student Athletic Advisory Committee.Â
In Southern Miss' upset over No. 2 WKU at the C-USA Championships, Bell dished out 45 assists, five digs and two kills. In her final game for the Golden Eagles, Bell had 35 assists, 12 digs, three kills and three blocks.Â
