Southern Miss concludes play at Samford Invitational

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- The Golden Eagle men's tennis team closed out a strong first fall weekend, as it took on the likes of Auburn, South Alabama, Samford, UAB and North Alabama.
Jorman Reyes and Ronit Bisht defeated their South Alabama foes 6-2, closing out a three-match weekend sweep. Teeradon Tortrakul and Miezsko Kwasniewski also rallied from falling in Day One to grab 6-1 and 6-2 wins on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
The singles side saw Southern Miss go 4-0, with Reyes, Tortrakul, Tom Cecchetto and Panji Setiawan coming out victorious. Cecchetto, Reyes and Tortrakul each went 3-0 in those matches for the week.
Next up for the team is a trip to the ITA Regionals in Tuscaloosa, Ala., which will begin Wednesday and run through Sunday.
