Southern Miss Track and Field Continues Season at South Alabama

HATTIESBURG, Miss - The Southern Miss Track and Field season rolls on in Mobile, Ala. at the South Alabama Invitational April 13 through 15.
The invitational will open with the women's Heptathlon on Thursday and will finish Friday with Trista Barry and Zaria Jones competing.
"Our multi-event athletes are going to open the season with their first heptathlon this weekend and the sprinters are going to be concentrating on improving their relay times," head coach Jon Stuart said.
Saturday's events, starting at 11:00 a.m., include men's high jump, women's 100m hurdles, men's 110m hurdles, men's and women's 4 x 100 relay, 400m. The other events are held throughout the day on a rolling schedule.
C-USA Athlete of the Week Cra'vorkian Carson will be in action during the men's 200m and the 4x100m relay.
"Every competition is important, especially in April, as we are just a month away from the CUSA Championships," continued Stuart.
