Women's Tennis Conclude Six-Match Road Trip

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Southern Miss women's tennis concludes its six-match road trip this week with three matches in South Carolina.
The Golden Eagles finished 1-1 last weekend with a big 6-1 victory against Kennesaw State and a close 4-3 loss to No. 75 Georgia State.
Tjasa Jerse leads the way in singles action with 10 wins with Carolin Drescher, Alex Kitchen and Elena Roca following close behind with seven.
The Golden Eagles are scheduled to play two matches tomorrow in Hilton Head, S.C. The mid-week action begins at 9 a.m. against Savannah State (0-13). The Golden Eagles second match will be played at 1:30 p.m. against South Carolina State (1-5). The Golden Eagles won both matches last season, 7-0.
The team will conclude its away trip on Thursday against the Winthrop Eagles. The Eagles are 11-5 and enter Thursday's match with a three-match win streak. Thursday's match will be the first-ever match between the two sides.
Southern Miss returns home March 23 to host Louisiana-Monroe at 2:30 p.m.
