Volleyball to play Rice in C-USA Championship opener

IRVING, Texas -- Conference USA officially released its 2017 Volleyball Championship bracket on Saturday night, and the No. 6 Golden Eagles will take on No. 3 Rice on Friday at 2 p.m. in Bowling Green, Ky.
This will be the third consecutive year the two teams have faced each other in the tournament. Southern Miss won the first-round battle in 2015 in four sets, but had a miraculous comeback fall just short in the 2016 semifinal on the Owls' home court.
Friday's match will air on CUSA.tv.
