Track and Field Teams Travel to Mississippi College

HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- The Southern Miss men's and women's track and field teams travel to Clinton, Miss. for the Twilight Invitational on the campus of Mississippi College.
The Friday evening event will get kicked off with the field events at 1 p.m. with the long jump and triple jump. Running events will start at 4 p.m. with the 4x100m relay.
"We have traveled quite a bit with some multi day meets. Being able to sleep at home and make the quick drive over to Clinton, Miss. for a meet is going to be welcomed," said head coach Jon Stuart. "Because of the proximity, we are going to get a lot of parents coming to the meet to see their kids run and it is always a good thing when parents can see their children compete. It comforts the kids and we like when our kids feel comfortable."
Stuart added, "We plan on getting things done Friday as we continue to push forward to attain region qualifying marks and get better throughout the season."
