
Men's Tennis Grabs 4-0 Win Against Bucknell

ORLANDO, Fla. -- The Southern Miss men's tennis team added another road win as the Golden Eagles defeated Bucknell 4-0 in action Wednesday at the Fort Gatlin Tennis Center in Orlando, Fla.
The Golden Eagles are now 13-7 overall.
Southern Miss got a pair of wins in the doubles in claiming the point to start with a 1-0 lead. Wen-Po Tseng and Chao-Yu Huang defeated Nick Bybel and Ben Gerber 6-1 on court 2 while Tarun Surat and Daniel Merker clinched the point with a 7-5 win at No. 1 over Max Kane and Timber Erskine.
The Golden Eagles posted wins No. 4, No. 3 and No. 5 in earning the 4-0 win. Merker added the second point with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Ben Gerber while Reyes downed Andrei Vitiuc 6-2, 6-4 at No. 3. Rakshit Rishi clinched the match with a 6-4, 6-1 win at No. 5 against Erskine. The remaining matches were halted.
Southern Miss will conclude its road swing with a match at Conference USA foe Florida Atlantic on Friday.
