Southern Miss Announces 2016 Bowl Social Schedule

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss Department of Athletics announced Monday that the school will play host to several bowl socials prior to its appearance in the Dec. 17 R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl, including the Mississippi Gulf Coast, Jackson, Hattiesburg and the Northshore.
Patio 44 (124 Main St, Biloxi, MS 39530) serves as the first bowl social spot on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, Thursday, Dec. 8, from 7-8 p.m.
The following day, Friday, Dec. 9, the Southern Miss bowl socials move to Hattiesburg for a luncheon at Mugshots (204 N 40th Ave.) from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Head Coach Jay Hopson, Director of Athletics Bill McGillis and athletics staff members will be in attendance for the events on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and in Hattiesburg. Admission is free for both events with the only cost being the price of each individual's meal and drinks.
Additionally, bowl socials are also scheduled to take place on Monday, Dec. 12, at the Hilton Hotel (1001 County Line Rd.) in Jackson and on Wednesday, Dec. 14, at Covington Brewhouse (226 E Lockwood St., Covington, LA 70433). Final details for each of these events will be confirmed and announced in the coming days.
Two additional pregame festivities will also take place prior to the game, including Southern Miss Night at the New Orleans Pelicans game, Thursday, Dec. 15. Southern Miss fans can receive discounted ticket pricing in a reserved Southern Miss section and the Golden Eagle football team is slated to be announced during the evening.
There will be a private pregame Happy Hour for Golden Eagle fans from 5-6 p.m. with drink specials, with the tipoff set for 7 p.m., against the Indiana Pacers. Come enjoy discounted tickets in a reserved Southern Miss section as the New Orleans Pelicans take on the Indiana Pacers.

The final social takes place just prior to the game and that is the Southern Miss Alumni Tailgate from 5:45-7:45 p.m., located at the 200 Level of the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
Tickets are $15 per person with children ages 10 and under receiving complimentary tickets. All guests must have a ticket in order to gain access to the Tailgate Party, including all children. Tailgate Party tickets must be purchased in advance at this link. Tickets will not be available for purchase on the day of the event. The purchase of Tailgate Party tickets does not include tickets to the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl.
Tailgate Party tickets may be mailed (for tickets purchased prior to Dec. 12), or picked up at the Ogletree House or the Superdome Box Office. Tickets will be available for pick-up at the Ogletree House beginning at 8 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 8.
The Tailgate Party includes food, drink, appearances by the Southern Miss cheerleaders and Seymour, as well as live entertainment.
