Getting to Know ... Keri Jewett-Giles

HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- With just five days away, the countdown to the Lady Eagle season-opener continues for the game against Alabama State in the Preseason WNIT on Nov. 13 11 a.m. for "Education Day".
Freshman point guard Keri Jewett-Giles is the featured player in the countdown.
Jewett-Giles possesses good speed and quickness. She is expected to make an immediate impact. She has excellent ball-handling skills and is capable of creating shots for herself as well as sharing the wealth with teammates.
Prior to joining the Lady Eagles, Jewett-Giles was a four-year letterwinner and starter at Dunbar High School for Coach Dwayne Donnell. She scored 1,288 points in her career to go with 401 assists and 254 rebounds. During her career, she was a three-time Class 4A state selection while earning all-district honors. She was named the New-Press All-Area Player of the Year and District 28 Player of the Year twice. She also received News-Press all-area accolades three times as well as Lee County Athletic all-conference. She is the daughter of Demesha Giles and plans to major in journalism.
