Bell Named Conference USA Volleyball Freshman of the Week

HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- Southern Miss setter Sarah Bell has been named this week's Conference USA Freshman of the Week.
Bell posted a pair of double-doubles in guiding Southern Miss to two conference wins over the weekend. She totaled 106 assists for a 10.60 per set average. She also finished with 28 digs for a 2.80 dig per set average. Against FIU, Bell tallied 50 assists and 11 digs while adding a block. In the win against LA Tech, she put down two key kills in the fifth set including the final kill to seal the victory. She tallied 56 assists and 17 digs. Bell finished with nine kills on the weekend. This is her first C-USA honor.
