Eight different Southern Miss players are currently on rosters in the National Football League. Here is a quick recap on how they did this past weekend:
Chris Clark, Denver - got his first start in nine games and sixth overall on the offensive line in a 22-10 road victory over San Diego. Clark was inactive for the last three games. (This week/Monday - at Cincinnati, 7:30 pm/ESPN)
Jamie Collins, New England - registered five tackles including one for loss and added a blocked field goal on Miami's first possession in a 41-13 home victory over the Dolphins. (This week - at N.Y. Jets, 12 noon/CBS)
Austin Davis, St. Louis - did not play in a 12-6 home loss to Arizona. (This week - N.Y. Giants, 3:05 pm/FOX)
Demar Dotson, Tampa Bay - started at left tackle in a 19-17 road loss at Carolina. Dotson had started at right tackle in the first 13 games this season for the Buccaneers before making the switch to left tackle in this contest. (This week - at Carolina, 12 noon/FOX)
Lamar Holmes, Atlanta - is on the injured reserve list and will miss the remainder of the season with a foot injury.
Tom Johnson, Minnesota - got the start at defensive tackle for the Vikings and provided two tackles despite losing on the road 16-14 to Detroit). Johnson has compiled 5.5 sacks this season. (This week - at at Miami, 12 noon/FOX)
Cordarro Law, San Diego - was inactive in a 22-10 home loss to Denver. (This week/Saturday - at San Francisco, 7:25 pm/CBS)
Khyri Thornton, Green Bay - is on the injured reserve list and will miss the remainder of the season.
