Men's Tennis Competes in the Player's Choice Open

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Southern Miss men's tennis team posted four victories in the Player's Choice Open in the qualifying draw in Birmingham, Ala., on Saturday.
Tarun Surat picked up a pair of win after he fought back from a set down to defeat Jarred Wynan, 4-6, 7-5, 7-6 (4), then defeated Matthew Kandath, 6-3, 6-4 to advance to the third round of the qualifying draw.
Chao-Yu Huang won his opening match against Caspar Schuetze, 6-1, 6-0, before losing to Vinod Gowda, 7-6 (5), 6-1.
Brad Marriott down Alex Sklizovic in straight sets, 6-2, 6-1, then lost to Mikhail Pecherkin, 6-0, 6-3.
