HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Southern Miss Athletics continually looks for opportunities to make a difference in the local community and has created an opportunity for Golden Eagle Nation to step forward and do so.
Spurred on by the actions of a generous donor, who earlier this year purchased tickets to a game that were donated to local charities, the Department of Athletics is proud to announce The Charity Challenge for the Southern Miss vs. Louisiana Tech football game on Saturday, October 25 at M.M. Roberts Stadium.
The challenge is for Golden Eagle Nation to purchase 1,000 charity tickets that will be distributed to numerous local charities and underprivileged youth groups. This is a way to show your Golden Eagle Pride while also allowing groups and organizations (who would not typically have the opportunity to attend a game) to attend the football game and witness firsthand the passion of Southern Miss.
As part of The Charity Challenge, Head Football Coach Todd Monken and Director of Athletics Bill McGillis have stepped up to purchase the first 100 tickets.
There are three ways for individuals or companies to take part in The Charity Challenge by purchasing tickets:
Online at www.SouthernMissTickets.com using the promo code CHARITY
Call the Southern Miss Ticket Office at 601-266-5418
Or in-person at the Pat Ferlise Ticket Office (Monday - Friday; 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.)
Charity Tickets are $10 per ticket and tickets can be purchased in any number and are non-tax deductible.
