Golden Eagles in the NFL, Week 7

Eight different Southern Miss players are currently on rosters in the National Football League. Here is a quick recap on how they did this past weekend:
Chris Clark, Denver - came off the bench for the first time in six games for the Broncos in the team's 42-17 home victory over San Francisco, in a game which quarterback Peyton Manning broke former Golden Eagle Brett Favre's regular-season touchdown record. The Broncos are now 5-1 on the year. Clark is his fourth season with the Broncos, having played in 62 games and making 25 starts. (This week - Thursday vs. San Diego, 7:25 pm/CBS-NFL Network)
Jamie Collins, New England - notched a career-best 13 tackles (seven solos) as the Patriots defeated the New York Jets 27-25 at home last Thursday night. Collins has appeared in six of the seven contests for the Patriots this season, starting at linebacker in all six games that he has played. The Patriots are 5-2 this season. (This week - Chicago, 12 Noon/FOX)
Austin Davis, St. Louis - made his fifth career start for the Rams and helped defeat the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks 28-26 at home. Despite throwing for a season-low 152 yards, Davis connected on 18-of-21 passing with a pair of touchdown throws. His completion percentage of 85.7 percent is the highest ever for a QB against a defending World Champion, according to the Elias Sports Bureau. (This week - at Kansas City, 12 noon/FOX)
Demar Dotson, Tampa Bay - were idle last week. Dotson has started at right tackle in all six games this season for the Buccaneers. (This week - Minnesota, 12 noon/FOX)
Lamar Holmes, Atlanta - is on the injured reserve list and will miss the remainder of the season with a foot injury. Tom Johnson, Minnesota - came off the bench to register two tackles, including one sack for three yards and a quarterback hurry in a 17-16 road loss to Buffalo. (This week - at Tampa Bay, 12 noon/FOX)
Cordarro Law, San Diego - missed his second consecutive game with an ankle injury as the Chargers lost at home to Kansas City 23-20. (This week - Thursday at Denver, 7:25 pm/CBS-NFL Network)
Khyri Thornton, Green Bay - is on the injured reserve list.
