Campus Rally Set for Thursday Following Football Practice

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss Department of Athletics will hold a campus rally in front of the Duff Athletic Center Thursday at 5:30 p.m., to wish the Golden Eagle football team well heading into its first game this Saturday against Texas State.
The Pride of Mississippi Marching Band, along with the Golden Eagle cheerleaders and mascot, Seymour, will be in attendance.
Fans are asked to gather in front of the Duff Athletic Center and form a mini Eagle Walk to greet the team as they leave the practice field that afternoon and wish them well against the Bobcats in a 6 p.m., contest at The Rock.
Free drinks will be provided by Coca-Cola as well as live music for the event.
