Golden Eagle Softballers to Host Team Tryouts

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss softball team will host open tryouts on Friday, Sept. 14 at the Southern Miss Softball Complex for all interested female students.
Tryouts are set to start at 1 p.m. at the complex and interested parties should be prepared to supply proof of an up-to-date physical as well as completed academic compliance forms. Those forms can be picked up in the athletic department on the second floor or at the softball offices, also located in the building.
All appropriate paperwork should be complete and turned in to Southern Miss coaches by Thursday, Sept. 13.
Students interested in trying out should be in good academic standing with a minimum 2.0 GPA as well as enrolled in a minimum of 12 semester hours.
No equipment will be provided for those who tryout. The coaching staff is requesting that interested students bring their own cleats, bat, glove, and appropriate softball playing attire
