Mary Hannah played for McGill Toolen High School where she was a three-year letterwinner and scholar athlete. She helped her team finish first in the area and the region. Her team was ranked number one through the season. The team finished in the Elite 8 for 6A in the State. She was third on the team hitting. She was named The Press Register Southwest Alabama honorable mention.

Why did you choose Southern Miss? Because I have always wanted to come here to play volleyball, I love the coaches and the team. I love that the school is not too big, but it's big enough, and it is only two hours away from home.
