Golden Eagle Softball to Host Southern University in Midweek Doubleheader

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss softball team will host the Lady Jaguars of Southern University in a midweek doubleheader on Thursday, March 15 at the Southern Miss Softball Complex, co-head coach Kirsten Voak announced today.

The two games, which are set for a 4 p.m. first pitch, will be played due in part to the cancellation of the second home tournament of the season for Southern Miss. The Jaguars were one of four teams scheduled to come to Hattiesburg that weekend but weather forced the event to be lost.

Southern Miss will open Conference USA play later today against UTEP at Helen of Troy Field in El Paso. First pitch is set for 3 p.m. CT and is a scheduled doubleheader.
