HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss football team worked out in full pads for just over two hours Tuesday afternoon at the Joe P. Park practice facility.
"We had a good work day," head coach Larry Fedora said. "The guys came out here and worked hard with a good attitude."
Fedora and the Eagles began the installation of the game plan in today's practice for Prairie View A&M (0-1) who will visit Carlisle-Faulkner Field at Roberts Stadium this Saturday for the 2010 home opener. Game time is set for 6 p.m.
"Prairie View is an experienced football team. They have a bunch of older guys who know what they are doing because they have been playing a long time," Fedora added.
Fedora also said that the three players who were banged up in last Thursday's game, wide receiver Quentin Pierce, running back Tracey Lampley and wide receiver Johdrick Morris did not participate in practice today but is hopeful that they can return to the field this week.
Tickets are on sale in person at the Pat Ferlise Center, online at southernmiss.com or over the phone at 1-800-844-TICK (8425). The Ferlise Center ticker office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
