Keeping Up With P-Love

Today was an unbelievable day as another dream came true--I put on a professional team's uniform. And we beat Atlanta, 86-79. As I was getting dressed in the locker room I thought-this is not a Southern Miss #55; it's the Connecticut Sun #55! I was so excited I could barley tie my shoes. It is amazing to know that dreams do come true if you work hard! As we took the floor for warm ups, I was very nervous. I barely looked to see how many people were in the stands. I just stayed focused. As the game started I was on the bench being a great teammate as I cheered loudly. When Coach Tibault called my name I was very excited--I sprinted to the scorer's table. I had to remind myself that I was not supposed to rebound-my role is to run, shoot and defend. As I took the first shot and it swished through the net--I thought YES! And then I relaxed! I finished the game with 5 points. A deep 3 point shot and a jump shot. Hopefully I played good enough to make the cut today. They are going to release some players today. Hoping for the best.
