Beef 'O' Brady's Bowl Practice Conducted Under Cold Conditions

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss football team practiced on the team's game field for two hours late Tuesday afternoon as they continue to get ready for its Dec. 21 bowl game against Big East foe Louisville.
Despite a sunny day, the Golden Eagles worked through a high-30s degree temperatures during the afternoon.
Southern Miss, which ranks No. 15 total offense a game that is averaging 458.2 yards per game, continue to prepare against a Louisville defense that ranks No. 12 overall and allows just 304.7 yards per outing.
The Cardinals (6-6) are among the nation's leader in sacks and will bring in an attacking style of defense at Tropicana Field next Tuesday night.
"They are fifth in the country in sacks and they are averaging over three a game," said third-year coach Larry Fedora. "(Defensive Coordinator) Vance (Bedford) and (Coach) Charlie (Strong) have got them playing really hard. There have been games when they have blitzed over 80 percent of the time. They are going to bring the heat, whether you are ready for it or not."
UofL also has a the No. 10 rusher in the country in Bilal Powell who is averaging 120.9 yards per contest, while the Golden Eagles (8-4) rank No. 13 in the nation in rushing defense by allowing just 113.3 yards per tilt.
