Southern Miss vs. UCF Game Notes September 12, 2009 M.M. Roberts Stadium
* Captains for Southern Miss were defensive back Justin Wilson, quarterback Austin Davis, defensive back Chico Hunter, wide receiver Gerald Baptiste and defensive lineman Anthony Gray.
* Today's attendance was 27,456.
* Southern Miss improves to 2-0 on the year. It is the first time they have started the season 2-0 since 2004.
* Southern Miss improves to 4-1 against UCF and 2-1 in Hattiesburg.
* Southern Miss is now 5-4 in conference games under head coach Larry Fedora. It is the first time they are above .500 in conference games under coach Fedora.
* With the victory, the Golden Eagles have won seven consecutive games, dating back to last year, which is currently tied for the fourth longest active streak with Ole Miss.
* Southern Miss has now won five consecutive conference games, dating back to last year. It is the longest streak since winning five straight over the 2006-07 seasons.

* It was Banks' second touchdown of the year and third of his career. The two touchdowns on the year are the most he has had in a season.

* Senior running back Damion Fletcher ran for 103 yards on 21 carries. It is his 23rd career 100-yard rushing game, tying him for the second most in Conference USA history.
* Fletcher's five-yard touchdown run in the second quarter was the second of the season and 38th of his career.
* Redshirt sophomore linebacker Korey Williams recorded his first career sack in the third quarter.
* Redshirt junior defensive lineman Anthony Gray recorded his first sack of the season and eighth of his career.
