Softball Begins Fall Practice

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss softball team officially began their fall practice on Tuesday that started with a 2:30 p.m. workout at the Southern Miss Softball Complex.
In addition to kicking off practice this week, the Lady Eagles will start preparations for fall action, which is set for Sept. 26 with games against Co-Lin Community College and William Carey.
The Golden Eagles will practice Monday through Friday for the next four weeks and conclude with a double-header against William Carey and Pearl River Community College, Oct. 10.
Head Coach Howard Dobeon enters his third season and returns 13 letterwinners, including six starting position players and a starting pitcher from last year's squad that finished 26-28-2 overall and 10-13-1 in Conference USA.
