HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss football team worked 2 hours, 30 minutes here Tuesday afternoon at the Joe P. Park Practice Facility as they focus their efforts for Conference USA foe Memphis this weekend.
Game time is set for 6 p.m., Saturday, at Carlisle-Faulkner Field at Roberts Stadium as the Golden Eagles (3-3, 1-1 C-USA) return to home for the first time in four games.
Second-year coach Larry Fedora said his team had a hard work day and were able to install a bunch of aspects of its game plan for the Tigers (2-4, 1-2) this weekend.
Fedora said that although his team's got some bumps and bruises, the only player that wasn't available for practice was sophomore quarterback Austin Davis, who was hurt in the UAB game and was lost for the season.
"We have guys that are beat up like everyone (in the FBS) is, but they were pushing through practice," Fedora said.
The game will be broadcast on the Southern Miss ISP Sports Network with affiliates throughout the state of Mississippi. A webcast also will be available through SouthernMiss.com and fans must be a member of All Access to be able to obtain the webcast.
