* Today's attendance was 28,178.
* Southern Miss falls to 3-1 all-time against Marshall. They are also 1-1 against the Thundering Herd in Hattiesburg.
* Marshall's 34 points are the most Southern Miss has ever given up to the Thundering Herd.

* Sophomore placekicker Justin Estes kicked a career-long 45-yard field goal in the second half. His previous high was a 43-yarder last year at UAB.
* Junior running back Damion Fletcher's two-yard fourth quarter touchdown was the third of the season and the 29th of his career.
