Bowden Named To The USD All-Tournament Team

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Freshman Sarah Jane Bowden (Sioux City, Iowa) earned all-tournament honors in the USD Tournament following her performance.

The middle blocker finished the weekend tallying 17 kills with an attack percentage of .333 and adding six total blocks.

Through 10 matches, Bowden leads the team in attack percentage (.333) and is second on the team in total blocks (1.09 blocks per set). She is one of players to play in every set.

Southern Miss will have a busy week, hosting Alcorn State Tuesday, followed by the conference opener against UCF Thursday and then hosting its own tournament that includes teams, UCF, North Texas and McNeese State.
