HATTIESBURG, Miss. - This week's Golden Eagle Player of the Week is Golden Eagle freshman football player DeAndre Brown.
The 6-6, 220 Ocean Springs, Miss. native caught a school record 4 touchdown catches this weekend against Rice.
Brown caught 12 passes for 221 yards. Both numbers rank him in second place in the Southern Miss record books.
It was also his second 100-yard game of the season.
Brown now has 637 receiving yards for the year and is tied for 21st nationally in receiving yards per game.
The Golden Eagles return to action Saturday, October 25th to face off against the Memphis Tigers at Liberty Bowl Stadium in Memphis, Tenn.
