Softball Begins Fall Practice Schedule

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss softball team dove into their fall practice schedule, today, with a 2:30 p.m. workout at the Southern Miss Softball Complex.
"We're really excited about getting on the field and actually having the entire team together for our first fall practice," Head Coach Howard Dobson said. "We've been having individual workouts, and we've seen some improvements.
"It's great to be able to have the whole infield together and the whole outfield together and show them what we're looking for as far as what we're trying to establish and what our main goals are. We're excited about getting on the field and building and growing as a team. It's like we're all freshmen now; it's all new. We're all getting in there and getting after it."
In addition to kicking off practice today, the Lady Eagles will start preparations for fall action, which is set to begin in October.
